- 3.84 ounce | 64% Baking Soda
- 1.92 ounce | 32% Citric Acid
- 0.12 | 2% Polysorbate 80
- 0.12 ounce | 2% Eucalyptus Essential Oil
- Mica Powder
Weigh out all of your ingredients.
Put the baking soda and citric acid into a mixing bowl.
Add the polysorbate 80 and eucalyptus essential oils to the dry ingredients. Mix well, I find that it is best to mix it with your hands.
Add the mica powder and mix well.
Spray the mixture with a bit of witch hazel on to the shower steamer mixture. Mix well. (Use as little witch hazel as you can, adding too much can cause the shower steamers to start to activate).
Check the consistency. You are going for a wet sand texture. To test if it is the right consistency, squeeze a bit in your hand to create a ball. Then drop it from a few inches high back into the bowl. If it holds it's shape, it is ready to mold.
Moving kind of quickly, put the shower steamer mix into the mold. You are going to want to press it firmly into the mold.
Unmold the shower steamers and allow them to dry out for about 24 hours.
