Instructions

  • Soften and Mash the Shea Butter

Mash your shea butter with a fork or spatula to break it up. I used my mixer to break it up - but I was making a pretty small batch! This step makes whipping your body butter much easier and smoother.
  • Start Whipping

Begin whipping the shea butter with a hand mixer until it starts to smooth out.
  • Add Grapeseed Oil

Slowly add grapeseed oil while continuing to whip.
This helps create a softer, more spreadable whipped body butter.
  • Add Fragrance Oil

Once the mixture is smooth, add your fragrance oil and mix thoroughly.
⚠️ Always check with your fragrance supplier for the correct usage rate for body butter products.
  • Add Arrowroot Powder

Sift in the arrowroot powder slowly while whipping to avoid clumps.
  • Whip Until Light and Fluffy

Continue whipping until your whipped shea body butter is:
    Light
    Airy
    Smooth
    Able to hold soft peaks
  • Transfer to Containers

Spoon your finished whipped body butter into clean jars and store at room temperature.
