There are so many wats that you can color salts, in this post I will show you a few different ways to do it. You can add the mica powder to any salt you would like, such as epsom salt, sea salt or dead sea salt. These salts can be used in soap, on or in a bath bomb or even in a bath salt.
These diy colored salts are super easy to do and the shimmery colors at the end are amazing. Choose your favorite colors and technique and customize them however you like.

Coloring Salts Method 1
Salt – Measure out how much salt you would like to color.
Mixing color – You are going to put a small amount of vegetable glycerin into a mixing bowl. Add a bit of mica powder to the glycerin and mix well.
Adding color – Add a small amount of the colored glycerin to your sea salt and mix well. You only want to add enough to have a light coating over the salts.
Adding mica – Scoop more mica onto the sea salt and mix well. This added mica is really going to make the color pop.
Storing – Since vegetable glycerin is a humectant, it will draw water to its self from the air. So, you want to make sure that you store it in a sealed container.
Coloring Salts Method 2
Salt – Measure out how much salt you would like to color.
Fragrance oil – Using a pipette place a small amount of fragrance oil on the salts. Remember you only need to put a small amount so the mica powder will stick to the salt.
Mica Powder – Sprinkle mice powder on to the dead sea salt and mix well.
Coloring Salts Method 3
This is my personal favorite way to color salts. The rubbing alcohol will evaporate off and will not cause any clumping.
Salt – Measure out how much salt you would like to color.
Rubbing Alcohol – Spray the sea salt with rubbing alcohol until it is a little wet.
Mica Powder – Sprinkle mice powder on to the dead sea salt and mix well.
