Beeswax Solid Perfume

Beeswax Solid Perfume

It’s hard for me to leave the house without a perfume in my purse, I love how small this beeswax solid perfume it. Especially since my purse is ridiculously heavy… like where does all the weight even come from? The perfume is formulated to be super easy to make for beginners and it only has 4 ingredients. Well, you only really need 3 of them, but I just can’t not add a bit of shimmer to it.

If you want to make this without beeswax, check out my DIY Solid Perfume post. Instead of using beeswax in it, I used Candelilla wax.

Ingredient Overview

I love the simplicity of this recipe, seriously how does it only have 4 ingredients?

Beeswax

Since this is a solid perfume, we need something to harden it, this is where our beeswax comes in. I used yellow beeswax because that is what I have on hand, but you can certainly use white if that is what you have.

Oil

Although we need this solid perfume to be solid, it is a bit of a juggling act, because we also need it to be soft enough to easily use. By adding apricot kernel oil, we are able to soften the beeswax and make it pliable.

Fragrance Oil

This is key, choosing the perfect fragrance oil. For this one, I went with one of my favorites, Pink Grapefruit and Citrus.

Color

Although we could leave this uncolored, that’s not any fun. Personally I like just a bit of sparkle in there. When you apply the solid perfume, it is such a subtle shimmer that you almost don’t notice it.

Tin

You will also want to get a tin to store the perfume in. I recommend one of these sliding ones because they are really easy to use. I have used the circle ones, but the ones that I got the lid was really hard to get off. Every time I went to use it, there was a serious struggle and I’m not about that life.
